Why are you excited for a B Local CT chapter?
What is compelling you to volunteer your time and resources to this newly forming organization?
I believe in building an ecosystem of businesses and leaders in this State that is environmentally and socially responsible. Connecting like-minded business owners and stakeholders will help to build momentum and give power to the B Corp movement initiatives that are at the heart of B Local CT.
About Alexis
Alexis C. Brooks is Counsel with the Business Law, Emerging Companies, Family Business and Mergers & Acquisitions practices of Murtha Cullina, LLP. Alexis advises clients as they navigate through stages of a company’s development – from start-up to established business. Many of her clients are women entrepreneurs and business owners. Alexis drafts, reviews and negotiates agreements, advises on best practices, prepares company policies and assists with transactional needs. Based in the Firm's Stamford office, Alexis also practices out of HAYVN, an entrepreneurial cowork space where she provides legal services to entrepreneurs.
Prior to joining Murtha Cullina, Alexis founded her firm, Brooks Law, PLLC, advising and championing business owners as they launch new companies. Alexis developed her commercially minded practice style working in the product and licensing divisions of Nautica and Reebok before and during law school. Alexis has provided pro bono services to Lawyers for Children and the Center for Children’s Advocacy. She grew up in southwestern Connecticut and lives in New Canaan with her husband and three children.
